Heading into Thursday night’s contest with Vancouver, you would have to think the Tri-City Dust Devils were as confident as ever, being 5-0.  Vancouver had the same feeling, with a record of 2-3, because a pair of new draft picks made their debuts Thursday night, including 6th rounder Ryan Ortiz, behind the plate.

Canadians fall back to .500 with loss to Dust Bunnies

Monday the 22nd:
After a tight victory to even up their season opening series against Everett, the Vancouver Canadians looked to build on their momentum gained Sunday, and defeat the Aquasox Monday night in front of a somewhat smaller crowd.

Draft News: 14 sign, plenty more to come

The first 14 draft picks have been signed by the Oakland Athletics, and will now report to Phoenix, Arizona.  Most of the 14 will be in Vancouver by Thursday night, from what I hear.
3 picks from the top 20 rounds have signed, and they’re all pitchers.

31st round: Out of Puerto Rico, Ian Texidor comes in as a 6′2 3B, who doesn’t really have any info on the World Wide Web.  Texidor is turning 18 this week (Monday to be exact), and will likely report to Arizona should he sign.
