I'm sure you guys are too busy for requests, but on the off chance, one story I'd love to know more about is how Tirado turned his season around after that horrible start.

Matt Fitts has already pitched two games at Nat Bailey this year.

April 25, vs. UBC: 6-3 win, 7 innings pitched, 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 8 strikeouts, 2 walks

May 9, vs. College of Idaho: 11-0 win, 8 IP, ONE hit, 7 K, 1 BB

Looks like he'll be right at home. :-)

Paramore is the steal of the draft so far. It's unbelievable baseball scouts let him drop so far. His presence behind the plate is unparalled and his patience at the plate will serve him well. Look for him to be up playing for Oakland in two years tops.

Hey Oz,

I've been talking with a guy by the name of J.D. Nichols up in canada over the past few months and we've been talking about me making a comeback and starting in the Golden League, maybe up there in Canada, I don't know which team, he said there is one in his home town and he is in good with the owners and knows he could get me at least a try-out.

Right now I'm still 4 months away from being back to full-game speed, but the velocity is coming back and I've been workin my butt off in the gym. If I'm not 95+, I won't even try after 18 months, but I got a really good feeling that I'm going to have that and more. Only time will tell, just wanted to let you know a former "C" might be playin in that league for at least a little bit until I can turn some heads and get into affiliated ball again.

Talk to you soon,
Joe (I LOATH DAN KILLGRASS) Newby
