If you’ve followed the Vancouver Canadians for - I don’t know - the last 9 months, you probably already know that Outfielder Shane Keough’s mother Jeana - a former playmate - is a main character on a USA reality TV show, "The Real Housewives of Orange County". Keough and her three kids (and divorcee Matt) are featured for about 10 minutes during each 60-minute episode, and in tonight’s show, Jeana and younger son Colton travel to Vancouver to watch big brother Shane in action.
The show originally aired in December on Bravo TV, but is appearing in Canada for the first time tonight on Slice TV.
When the camera crews were there, Shane may have gotten the biggest cheer of the season, with eager fans wanting to get on TV. The Canadians won that game 7-2, and the Keoughs were in for a treat, with Vancouver failing to allow any earned runs. Shane didn’t have a great game at the dish, however, going 0-4 with two strikeouts, lowering his average to .159.
The show airs tonight at 6 and 9 PM on Slice Canada, channel 41 for those with Shaw TV.
SIDENOTE: I’m going to Arizona for Spring Training on Friday, and if anyone has any interview requests from ex-Canadians or other minor leaguers, email me at roadkillsports@hotmail.com. I will do the best I can.
