In any business, logic, common sense and the human touch are very often over ruled by " policy " , with not much consideration for the down stream repercussions. Lifting a pack of baseball cards from a pile of apparant garbage would be a normal human reaction to most baseball aficeonados(sp). To dismiss Rob, after his apparant apology etc. is an over-the-top reaction, he is very much one of the Nat components. He and the established "brew crew" provided well timed levity to sometimes dull games, and also provided an insider's knowledge about the current team and previous Vancouver Canadians. This is not a wise decision.
We have had seasons tix for at least 10 years, depending upon the 'on duty brew crew' I will be treking down stairs--or do without. This is just plain dumb, Rob is an integral part of the Nat Bailey experience, he has to be back.

What a travesty to lose the only reason I go to the game -- well, besides the sun and admiring the tight uniforms. It's a sad day for all C's fans. Bring Rob back!!!

What a tragedy!! An honest mistake void of any intent to injure and he has been cut from the team!?!

Ownership needs to recognize the error it has made and bring back a legend at the Nat.

This sucks. Yes he did the wrong thing but it was hardly high crimes. They didn't just take his job from him. They took our favorite hawker away from us.

I understand they're just trying to be professional. But the stands won't be as much fun without McGowan.
